first thing's first

Okay. Thought I'd jump on the social media bandwagon considering I'll be teaching Web Media here in Bahrain next semester. And before you all tear my wee blog effort to bits, I'll be teaching web content (the words and stuff), NOT design or HTML or Flash or any o' that....

We've set this blog up for all you lucky peeps who have been invited to the esteemed occasion of our nuptials in Hoi An, Vietnam on 6th August, 2011. That's 2011, not 2010, for all those currently freaking out thinking they have to madly save and plan for a quickie wedding in a few weeks' time (yes, people have asked!). Why Vietnam? Well, me hailing from Oz and Matt being from England meant we had to find somewhere overseas, neutral territory and all that... We chose Vietnam as it's one of our favourite countries, full of fab food, fun, flora, fauna, festivals, and fabulousness (okay, the alliteration frenzy is over). We had such an amazing time there in 2008 and we'd love for you guys to see Hoi An for yourself. Here's a bit of visual incentive from our last trip there:

So, if you've been suitably persuaded by these images and our winning prose, we'd be so excited to see all of you in Hoi An next August. Watch this space for info regarding flights, visas, accommodation, things to see & do in Vietnam, plus other practical (and totally impractical) bits n bobs.
